The Relaunch
A bigger mission, built on everything we learned.
The Morning Glory Ranch was founded in 1999 as a research-driven equine therapy program, born from a simple but radical idea: that horses, patience, and community could help the brain heal in ways traditional medicine couldn't reach alone. For nearly two decades, we welcomed individuals with acquired brain injuries onto our ranch, pairing hands-on therapeutic riding with real research into atypical neuro-recovery.
In 2010, our work expanded beyond the arena. We began using Nu Skin Pharmanex's S2 and S3 BioPhotonic Scanners — built on Nobel Prize–winning Raman spectroscopy — to measure nutritional absorption and antioxidant carotenoid levels in the individuals we served. This let us track something no one else was looking at: how an individual's antioxidant levels related to their progress in our Equine Therapy Program for atypical neuro-recovery.
Building on that early work, we developed a specific protocol using Pharmanex and AgeLOC nutraceuticals to track how increases in nutrient absorption lined up with functional gains in our clients. Alongside our Nourish the Children initiative and global Vitameal donations, the income generated through this nutraceutical work allowed us to fund the construction of a 40,000-square-foot Equine Therapy and Brain Health facility.
In 2019, life asked us to pause — Kim's own son acquired a brain injury of his own, and his care and recovery became her full focus. In hindsight, the timing carried an unexpected grace: the shutdowns of 2020 arrived just months later. Now, in 2026, we're saddling back up.
